Tour Our Nursery & Elementary School Today!
Within our expansive, idyllic campus, we offer an experiential, interdisciplinary curriculum that encourages inquiry and creative thinking both inside and outside the classroom. Our graduates are more than well prepared for whatever comes next—from the secondary schools of their choice to rewarding careers that build on the passions they first explored in their formative years at Long Ridge.
Since our founding over 85 years ago, social-emotional development has been at the core of our mission. Our multi-age, two-year classrooms and low student-teacher ratio foster meaningful relationships—and as older students learn alongside younger ones, they develop confidence, empathy, cooperation, and leadership skills.
As our founder Harriet Rowland said, Long Ridge is a place where “loving kindness prevails,” and that philosophy extends to our students’ families. We welcome all to be part of our inclusive, down-to-earth community of parents, guardians, teachers, and students who deeply value education—and who join us in collaboratively building for each student the foundation for a fulfilling future.
We invite you to explore our classrooms and programs by taking a school campus tour. Individual tours are available on weekdays by appointment.
