Long Ridge is Special to Me Because:

So much of how I see the world comes from my time at Long Ridge. It’s where I first started playing music, from recorders, dulcimers, bells, and school plays. I started playing piano at 6, and still play every day. It’s where I explored the woods on that beautiful sprawling campus, and today I still seek nature for hikes and camping to decompress. It’s where I formed lifelong friendships; my LRS friends and I are all grown up with kids the age we were when we met, my longest friends. My mom, Susan Seiler, taught in the Nursery and Beginner programs for 30 years, so the school was a second home for both of us. If every child in the world had access to a Long Ridge education, the world would be a more collaborative, just, and whole place.

Profession:

Civic Entrepreneur. I founded Collective Impact to create solutions to major urban challenges through collaboration, innovation, and a human and environmental lens. My current focus areas include homelessness and housing, downtown reinvention, connection and belonging, arts, and public education. Based in San Francisco during the emergence of AI, I’m committed to ensuring that technological innovation benefits all of us. It’s our moral obligation
